Donna apparently had a close call during some adventure, and an angsty Ten ends up doing unsanitary things with her on the kitchen table. It has something to do with them breaking the final rule on their list of rules they keep posted in the kitchen. It's part humor and part adorableness. Anyone?? Does this ring a bell?

It's one of my faves, and like a big IDIOT I never bookmarked it because I swore I wouldn't forget who wrote it and then ...I forgot.

Oh fanfiction.net, why you take my pron away? Wait, not pron -- fiction of adult nature. There we go, yeah, that's what I meant. 'Cos we be classy that way.

Anyway, this may mean I'll have to bite the bullet and get a tumblr account to cross post fics. But..but I'm scared ---I've heard once you go on tumblr, no one ever sees you in person again!

I'm frightened. Hold me.

When I've run out of Donna/Doc fic to read because there's never enough, I like to download one of the bazillion Rose/Doctor stories onto Word ('cos those suckers never run out) and replace all the "Rose"s with "Donna"s.

Then I read the fic and spend the whole time wondering why Donna is being such a useless, simpering moron. But I just shake my head and say, "damn, crazy out-of-character writing. Or maybe there's an awesome twist and she's contracted some strange alien disease that gives her dissociative identity disorder...wow, now that I think about it that would be really cool, maybe this fic actually rocks!" 

And when I finish the story I'm always disappointed that there was no tricky twist with dissociative identity disorder, and "Donna" was just being a twat. 

This means that you, yes I'm looking at YOU, need to write some Donna/Doc fic so that I don't have to do this anymore.

Please?

I am addicted to this story! It's not Doctor/Donna per se (yes, in my brain it is, but I'm not sure that's the writer's intention. Or maybe it is...sneakily. I keep reading hoping it is.) Hell, ANYTHING can be Doctor/Donna, if you're in the right mood, am I right? Added plus, no Rose in sight.

Anywho, the story is the The Demon Saviour, by unslinky, found here.

I don't want to spoiler you, so take a gander at the first chapter and just SEE if you don't get hooked, too. Only problem is I've only found it on Teaspoon...Anybody know if it's posted somewhere else? I hate waiting for the admin approval before a chapter goes up. There the chapter is, just taunting you, and when you click it the abhorred access denied message comes up. Argh! Someone, enlighten me - is it somewhere else?

Okay, so this is fanfic. People are going to have the same ideas and write the same plot and yadda yadda. I can't even tell you how many other writers I have been inspired by. I mean, hello broomclosets and sex pollen and all that good stuff.

But inspiration and copyism (plagiarism's kinder cousin) are two different things, right? What do you do when you find a story that is sooo like yours, with some very specific plot points happening just the same?

Update: RESOLVED! Thank you all for your very helpful feedback and suggestions. The author responded right away very nicely, agreed to edit her fic a bit, apologized and will give credit.

I got into the Doctor Who game late, so this may be old news to all of you, but I stumbled onto some fantastic Ten/Donna fic which I've never before seen on any rec list, so I figure it's worth spreading the news.

It's an alternate season 5, Ten/Donna fixit adventure, 4 complete stories and one ongoing. It's written as friendship but veers towards shipping, really. I am usually not an adventure-type fan, so when I find one that really gets me, I'm very impressed. Note: the originals were written in Polish, so this is not the author's first language -- the first story in the series shows this a little bit, but as you read on the translation improves drastically and, really, the stories are so good that all is forgiven:
